As for the kids....
We have all been loving the warmer weather. The wheels on Luke's gator might be slick by the end of the summer. He doesn't like water in his ears, so the idea of swimming is having to grow on him. And, it is! He really enjoyed swimming with his Stanley friends Easter weekend. They broke him in well and got him hunting eggs and getting more brave in the water. He had a blast! He loves going to "Twaci's". He was begging us to leave him there before we even left our house. Haha :)
He knows all of his colors and shapes really well. He can count to 10 and tries to go beyond that some. He sings his ABCs but some letters are jibberish. He'll get there. I'm not pushing it! He loves going places with Heath. He begs to go to Len's barn and fly remote control "harplanes". He'll hardly leave the house without a cap on, and he's getting that way about his sunglasses, too. He's been wearing flip flops since it's been warm. Hearing him try to say "flip flops" is pretty dang funny, I think.
He's so sweet and tender hearted. He encourages me just like I do him. He'll tell me "good job" for things I do and told me "That's great!" when I told him I had painted in my class. From about 4 months to 2 years, church was a struggle for us and something we ended up dreading every Sunday. Luke would cry when we got in the parking lot. He's really gotten better and loves going now. In fact, sometimes, he cries to leave! We are thankful for Terri Stanley for loving on him and getting him to enjoy going.
It's funny how different Luke and Landry are... Luke could watch 15 episodes of Dora in a row. He would watch a good 20 minutes of Sesame Street when he was 4 months old. Landry has yet to watch 5 minutes of TV. Luke has never been a belly sleeper, and Landry loves being on her belly. Luke took a pacifier in the hospital. Landry has never taken one. -- They are definitely both challenging in their own ways!

Landry's little personality is coming out more all the time. She is 7 months now and is always happy. She doesn't have any teeth yet, but she gives the cutest gummy grins! She is babbling and saying what sounds like "bubba" most often. She's just started trying to wave and say "bye-bye". She would love to be able to follow Luke's every move. She rolls all over the living room chasing him as best she can. She giggles out of control when Luke gives her attention. She loves for me to hold her and chase Luke... She'll squeal out of excitement! He loves it, too. She sleeps really good... This week she's slept 10-11 hours every night. She goes to sleep on her own and usually doesn't fuss too much about it. She loves bath time and splashes with Luke in the water. AND! She's started taking a bottle! She's still nursing, but we actually got to go to dinner last week with no kids! It was awesome.
-- Do any of the worthless idols of the nations bring rain? Do the skies themselves send down showers? No, it is you, Lord our God. Therefore, our hope is in You, for you are the One who does all this. - Jeremiah 14:22
